In this year as President of Easy Toastmasters Club in Milan, I really enjoyed it! I do not hide my fear and my initial surprise when I brought this role.
I was wondering ... "Ups but I'll drive to create a club of 40 people in 15 years of commitment and passion? Will I be able to leave a positive sign of my own?".
Well this year is ending and after these months, challenging and exciting, what about? I feel really satisfied!
Together with the Executive Committee, we have developed many initiatives that have created small and large participation and partnership:
- shooting video during the evening
- the group on FB and googlegroup thanks to Francis and David
- the night 100% Inglese
- support for new groups of Varese, Genova TM
- 10 new members
- an increasingly important presence of women to the delight of many boys!
- contact with international clubs in Switzerland and the USA
And now the "cherry on the cake" the 1 Toastmasters Contest , an evening
special program May 19, 2009 in which some members of our club, Our "Braveheart," will face a challenge in high-level: 100% pure improvisation!
In Toastmasters Club of Milan and Varese learn to build a speech, to structure it, to enrich it with effective words and figures of speech, to accompany him with our gestures, our voices and all the expressiveness of our face!
