Filtered through the categories is the image of the Other in our culture? We refer in this case the language of images, rather than that of words. Elsewhere we had talked about the photographs that favor the passive attitudes of the African people, and sometimes even the location, or the frame chosen - for example from top to bottom - reinforce a certain image of dependency, 'View' a particular type of relationship. The same ta-choice of places, of an environment rather than an-other, contribute to the flattening of the stereotypes of people and things more current, just as verbal categories such as Bedouin or vu ' cumprà flatten peoples of the South and migrated to im-dimensional figures, no depth, exactly what you expect to see. The image of blacks in the Western media (whether they are there, in their poor world, whether they live here among us white), undergoes precisely this reduction to the known, then that is a kind of mosaic pieces fixed in our imagination: labbroni, skin, kinky hair, firm butts and other attributes exaggerated, that seem to have the dual function of defending diversity, and set it back to recognizable categories.
